2 of 5 Beautiful Design, But Challenging to Execute June 15, 2022

I love the way this design complements both modern and traditional quilts.  HOWEVER...   there is a LOT of backstitching and it is not immediate backstitching, either -- the design works its way back to stitch over lines that were stitched 5-6 minutes ago.  90% of the time the backstitching was right on top of previous stitching, but every time I had to stop mid-row for a bobbin change or thread break, no matter how precisely I got the restart point realigned, and no matter how careful I was to avoid shifting the quilt top when I unpicked stitches and restarted the machine, I still had issues with backstitching that landed 1/16" to 1/8" away from the original stitching line.  I still really like the design, but I'll be more careful about thread choice and which quilts I recommend it for in the future.
